Horizon BCBSNJ offers all eligible members access to free identity protection services.
If you need identity repair assistance, the team at Experian is standing by to help you. There is no action required on your part at this time. But if a problem arises, simply call Experian at 1-866-926-9801 and a dedicated investigator will work with you to recover any financial losses, restore your credit and make sure your identity is returned to its proper condition. Be prepared to provide engagement number B100348 as proof of eligibility.
For additional protection at no cost to you, you may enroll in Experian IdentityWorksSM with Credit Monitoring at any time while you are an eligible Horizon BCBSNJ member. This service offers additional protection, including an Experian credit report at signup, credit monitoring, internet surveillance, a $1M identity theft insurance and more. Follow the steps below to enroll.

- Be aware of phone calls or emails that appear to offer you identity theft protection but are truly phishing schemes designed to steal your information. Always go directly to the Experian website for information rather than clicking on links in emails.

How to Request Additional Protection
- Verify that you are an eligible Horizon BCBSNJ member.
- Click Submit.
- When prompted, enter the Activation Code that was provided to you by Horizon BCBSNJ.

*Horizon BCBSNJ members enrolled in fully insured and self-insured group health plans, including the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) and the School Employees’ Health Benefits Program (SEHBP), and consumers enrolled in individual health plans on and off the Health Insurance Marketplace are eligible for identity protection coverage. Members enrolled in coverage through the Federal Employee Program® (FEP®), Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D and Medicaid are not eligible for identity protection coverage.
